About

Vanessa Milke completed her Bachelor's degree in Biosciences at the University of Osnabrück in 2018 and then transferred to the Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Universität Hannover for her studies in Molecular Microbiology. She then completed her Master's thesis at the Institute for Experimental Virology at TWINCORE in 2021, in which she focussed on the evaluation of combinatorial genome editing strategies using the CRISPR/Cpf1 system. Since then, Vanessa Milke has been a PhD student at the Institute for Experimental Virology and is currently working on the identification and characterisation of host factors that are essential for respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) infection.
