Dorothea Bankwitz is a project manager at the Institute for Experimental Virology at TWINCORE.After her bachelor's degree in molecular biotechnology at the University of Lübeck, she completed a master's degree in molecular life science there. From 2008 to 2011, Dorothea Bankwitz did her doctorate at the Hannover Medical School on the mechanisms of immune evasion and viral entry of the hepatitis C virus (HCV)
.As a postdoc at the Institute of Experimental Virology at TWINCORE, she shifted her research focus to HCV vaccine research and completed the two-year part-time training course ‘Translational Research & Medicine: From Idea to Product’ at the TRAIN-Academy.
Since 2023, Dorothea Bankwitz has been working at the Institute for Experimental Virology at TWINCORE as a project manager for the research and development of an HCV vaccine.
