Birthe Reinecke is a licensed veterinarian and completed her veterinary medicine studies at the University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover (TiHo) in 2017. She then worked on her PhD at the Institute of Experimental Virology at TWINCORE as part of the PhD program “Animal and Zoonotic Infections” at the TiHo, with the title “Determinants of Hepacivirus Species Tropism”, which she completed with honors in 2021.
After a postdoctoral phase, during which she completed her doctorate in veterinary medicine with the topic “Characterization of infection courses and molecular analyses of equine parvovirus hepatitis” with honors, she started at the Institute of Experimental Virology as a laboratory and project manager. Since then, she has been handling numerous matters at the institute as a central point of contact and interface.
