About
Benedikt Hellwinkel completed his bachelor's degree in biology at Leibniz Universität Hannover in 2018. In his master's thesis at the Fraunhofer Institute for Toxicology and Experimental Medicine, he worked on the characterisation of the immune response induced by coronaviruses using in vitro and ex vivo models.
As a doctoral student in the Institute for Experimental Virology at TWINCORE, Benedikt Hellwinkel is working on the discovery and characterisation of active substances against human respiratory viruses.
