Researchers at TWINCORE and MHH investigate the cause of lung damage in autoimmune diseases
923,000 € funding for the V³ECTORY project from IBT Lower Saxony
In the fourth round of applications for funding from the Institute of Biomedical Translation (IBT) Lower Saxony, a TWINCORE application has been awarded funding - the V³ECTORY project led by Prof. Dr Thomas Pietschmann, Director of the Institute of Experimental Virology at TWINCORE, was one of three successful applicants out of eight finalists who presented their project outlines on 13 May and will receive funding of €923,000. Alongside Pietschmann, co-applicants are PD Anke Kraft from the Center for Individual Infection Medicine (CiiM) and Dr Nadine Krüger from the German Primate Centre (DPZ) in Göttingen. Together, they want to develop a vector-based vaccine against the hepatitis C virus over the next few years.
