TWINCORE stands for tolerance and peace

At TWINCORE, values such as tolerance, peace and a commitment to democracy are the basis for scientists from different nations to be able to work together creatively and productively. TWINCORE strongly condemns any form of violation of international law, such as the war of aggression against Ukraine.

The German Research Foundation (DFG), the Volkswagen Foundation and other funding organisations are currently providing scholarships for researchers who are forced to flee their home countries. Infection researchers who have been affected are very welcome at TWINCORE and, if possible, will be supported in their application to continue their research at TWINCORE on a temporary basis.

As a cosignatory of the Diversity Charter, the basic principles of diversity and equal opportunities are an integral part of TWINCORE's corporate philosophy. We are a research institution with employees from more than 20 different nations and thus already make an important contribution to international understanding in our daily work. We offer scientists from all over the world a safe and productive working environment in which all persons, regardless of their origin, ethnicity, nationality or gender, have the same opportunities for free professional development.
