Orbituary for Matthias Fiebag

Management and staff of TWINCORE grieve for longtime head of administration

On 17 April 2020 Matthias Fiebag passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at the age of 54.

Matthias Fiebag graduate in public management and was specialised in research management as well as other disciplines. After his studies, he first worked for consulting companies in Germany and Switzerland, before he became business manager of the churchly administration and financial department in Rheine in 2004.

Since 2008 he was head of the adminstration of TWINCORE, after he coordinated the establishment of the new research centre in Hannover as an assistant to the Administrative Director of Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research in Braunschweig already since 2006. He significantly contributed to the success of TWINCORE by establishing the administration as a service for research acitivities of the centre.

Management and staff of TWINCORE are stunned by the death of Matthias Fiebag. He leaves behind a wife and a son. Our thoughts are with them in these days.
