After completing her Bachelor's degree in Molecular Life Science at the University of Lübeck in 2021, Imke Hinrichs transferred to the University of Antwerp (Belgium) for her Master's degree in Biomedicine with a focus on infectious and tropical diseases. As part of her Master's thesis at the Clinical Immunology Unit of the Institute of Tropical Medicine in Antwerp, she focused on transcriptomic signatures in visceral leishmaniasis patients co-infected with HIV. Since July 2023, she has been researching the differences in the antibody repertoire between memory B cells from the bone marrow and the periphery as part of her doctoral thesis in the ‘Antiviral Antibody-Omics’ group led by Prof. Dr Yannic Bartsch.
