Maria Tariq

Maria Tariq ist Doktorandin in der Arbeitsgruppe von Thomas Pietschmann. In ihrer Masterarbeit beschäftigte sie sich mit der Erforschung des Maul- und Klauenseuche-Virus und erwarb ihren Abschluss in Mikrobiologie an der University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) in Pakistan. Vor ihrem Promotionsstudium arbeitete sie als Forschungsassistentin in einem Zellkulturlabor an der UVAS. 

Ihre aktuelle Forschung, die durch ein DAAD-Forschungsstipendium finanziert wird, konzentriert sich auf den Tropismus des Hepatitis-C-Virus. Der Titel ihres Projekts lautet „Determinants of Innate Immune Control and Tissues Tropism of HCV“.
